BANK STATEMENT & QUICKBOOKS AUTOMATION

Stop typing bank statements into QuickBooks

Upload the PDF from any major Canadian bank. Every transaction comes back coded to your chart of accounts, GST/HST split, and proven to balance — ready to post to QuickBooks Online, Desktop or Sage 50. The hour a statement takes by hand becomes a few minutes of review.

THE MONTH-END GRIND

Statements shouldn't take your evenings

Re-typing PDFs

Hours spent keying dates, payees and amounts off a PDF into QuickBooks, one line at a time.

CSV wrangling

Downloading, reformatting and re-importing spreadsheets that QuickBooks still rejects.

Broken bank feeds

Feeds that disconnect, skip months or only go back 90 days — useless for catch-up work.

Same fixes every month

Re-coding the same vendors to the same accounts, month after month, client after client.

HOW IT WORKS

From PDF bank statement to QuickBooks in four steps

1. Upload

Drop in a chequing or credit-card statement PDF. The bank and statement type are recognised automatically.

2. We read & code

Every transaction is extracted and matched to your chart of accounts, payees and GST/HST codes.

3. You review

Fix anything in one screen, save the fix as a rule, confirm the statement balances, then approve.

4. Post

Send straight to QuickBooks Online, or download a ready-to-import file for QuickBooks Desktop or Sage 50.

BENEFITS

No templates to configure. No formats to fight.

The app reads statements from major Canadian banks automatically, extracts every transaction, and applies your coding rules — so common transactions arrive already categorized and ready to post.
  • ✓Automatic bank recognition — upload the PDF and the app identifies the institution and reads the statement format on its own. Works with RBC, CIBC, TD, Scotiabank, BMO, Coast Capital, Envision, Vancity, and more.
  • ✓Every line extracted, nothing re-typed — date, payee, and debit/credit amounts pulled from every transaction
  • ✓Arrives already coded — the app learns your coding rules, so recurring vendors and common expenses land in the right account automatically
  • ✓Posts straight to QuickBooks Online — connect once through Intuit's own secure login (we never see or store your credentials), and push transactions as fully coded purchases, credits, or transfers — or summarize a full statement into a single journal entry for period-end close
  • ✓No duplicates, no lost imports — the app tracks what's already been posted, so reruns skip existing entries. If an import fails, it pinpoints exactly which transactions didn't post and re-exports only those
  • ✓Review before posting, if you prefer — download a QBO-ready bank file or journal entry CSV when your workflow needs a checkpoint
  • ✓Proves every statement balances — opening balance plus activity must equal the printed closing balance before you approve
  • ✓Cheques and GST/HST handled — cheque images land on their row with the payee read, and tax-inclusive amounts are split into net and GST/HST
  • ✓QuickBooks Desktop and Sage 50 too — export IIF files for QuickBooks Desktop or general journals for Sage 50 Canadian Edition

WHO IT'S FOR

Take on more clients without adding staff

Whether you run a two-person practice or a multi-office firm, statement work becomes a review job instead of a data-entry job.

Bookkeepers

Code a month of credit-card statements for every client in one sitting.

Accounting firms

Clean up years of catch-up statements for new clients in days, not weeks.

Controllers

Get expenses into QuickBooks without living inside QuickBooks.

Year-end teams

Produce period-close journal entries straight from the statements.

SECURITY & CONTROL

Your clients' data, handled like it should be

No bank credentials

You upload statements you already have. We never connect to, or ask for, online banking.

Intuit sign-in

QuickBooks Online connects through Intuit's own OAuth sign-in. Disconnect any time.

Role-based access

Firm, company and user roles keep each client's books visible only to the right people.

Approval & audit trail

Nothing posts until a person approves it, and every export is recorded.

FAQ

Questions bookkeepers ask us

Which banks and cards do you support?+

RBC, TD Canada Trust, BMO, Scotiabank, Coast Capital, Envision and Vancity chequing, plus RBC, TD, CIBC and Vancity Visa, RBC Mastercard and American Express. Need another bank? Send us a sample statement and we will add it.

Do you need my online-banking password?+

No. You upload the statement PDF you already download from your bank. QuickBooks Online is connected through Intuit's own sign-in, so we never see your QuickBooks password either.

Does anything post to QuickBooks without me seeing it?+

No. Every statement is reviewed and approved first. You can also download the file and import it yourself instead of posting directly.

Does it work with QuickBooks Desktop or Sage?+

Yes. QuickBooks Online is posted directly or by import file, QuickBooks Desktop by IIF file, and Sage 50 Canadian Edition by general journal import.

What about scanned or photographed statements?+

The statement must be the PDF your bank produces (with selectable text). Scanned paper statements are not supported yet.

How long does it take to get started?+

Most firms process their first statement in the first session: connect QuickBooks, sync your chart of accounts, upload a PDF.

See it run on your own statement

Try it on one month from any client. We set it up with you, and you see every line coded, balanced and ready for QuickBooks.
